New science curriculum available for review
Staff, parents, and community members are invited to review new Greeley-Evans School District 6 K-12 science curriculum materials being considered for purchase and implementation at the beginning of the next school year.
Visitors are also asked to provide feedback to the Curriculum Adoption Committee on these materials before a final decision is made. District 6 is updating this curriculum to fulfill its promise to voters in the 2017 Mill Levy Override election. If approved by the Board of Education, these materials will be purchased and ready for students and teachers to use at the beginning of the 2020-21 school year.
The curriculum being recommended by the Curriculum Adoption Committee is both in the form of traditional textbooks and digital learning materials.
The materials will be on display at the District 6 Administration Office located at 1025 9th Avenue, Greeley in the lobby of the main level of the building. Visitors will need to check in at the security desk in the southwest lobby of the building and secure a visitor’s pass to wear while viewing the curriculum. The building is open for business from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and the materials will be available for viewing until November 20. Everyone who views the materials is encouraged to fill out and return a feedback form.
