The rebuilding of Greeley West High School is one of many capital construction projects being funded through the 2019 bond issue. The new school is slated to open in the Fall of 2022. The existing Greeley West building will be torn down in the summer of 2022. The $124 million, 280,000-square-foot high school is the largest of the District 6 bond projects.
Other bond projects include a large addition and renovation of McAuliffe STEM Academy and Chappelow Arts Magnet K-8 School, the rebuilding of Madison Elementary School, the new Tointon Academy of Pre-Engineering currently under construction, safety and security upgrades at all schools, as well as new heating and ventilation systems, roofs, paint, flooring, ceiling tiles and asbestos removal at select schools.
