Updates and Protocols for the Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremonies

We are excited to announce that we are moving forward with in-person graduations at the end of July and beginning of August for Early College Academy, Jefferson High School, Northridge High School, Greeley Central High School, Greeley West High School, and Greeley-Evans Alternative Program GAP. We have been working with the Weld County Department of Public Health to develop a plan to safely host these in-person graduations to provide the graduation ceremonies that the Class of 2020 deserves.

We have worked diligently to keep as many of the graduation traditions in the ceremonies. However, due to the risk of spreading COVID-19 at large events, there will still be many restrictions in place at graduation. The most significant change will be the number of guests that will be allowed at the ceremony. We will only be allowing two guests per graduate to attend the ceremony per guidelines from state and local health officials. Family and friends who will not be able to attend this event will be able to watch the ceremony live on the District 6 website and YouTube channel.

All graduates and guests will be required to wear a mask during the entire event. Guest seating will be physically distanced and all guests will be escorted to their seats by District 6 staff.  Guests will not be allowed to congregate in parking lots or before, during, or after the ceremony and will not be allowed on the field following the ceremony.

A graduation packet containing a parking pass, guest tickets, and more detailed protocols and instructions will be ready for pick-up at your high school the week of July 20th.

All graduation ceremonies will take place at District 6 Stadium 100 71st Ave., Greeley, CO, 80634.
