Central student headed to national automotive contest

Jesse Manuel, a senior at Greeley Central High School, will compete in the SkillsUSA National Competition, to be held in Atlanta, Georgia this June.

 

Manuel received a gold first place in Secondary Damage Appraisal at the SkillsUSA State Competition held April 6-8 in Colorado Springs.

 

Manuel also received a silver second place in Secondary Facilithon (facility management) at the state competition.

 

Nine Aims Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing Program students competed in the SkillsUSA State Competition. The team won 11 medals in the statewide competition.

 

Enrolled at Aims Community College through concurrent enrollment, Manuel is earning college credit while still in high school.

 

Aims Community College automotive degree programs are nationally recognized and certified in secondary and post-secondary educational systems with accreditation provided by the National Automotive Technicians and Education Foundation. The Aims Automotive and Technology Center is located on the college’s Windsor campus.
