Start Your Engines for National School Breakfast Week!
We’re celebrating National School Breakfast Week March 4th-8th! This year’s theme is “Start Your Engines With School Breakfast,” which aims to illustrate the benefits of fueling up for the day with a healthy school breakfast to parents, students, and school officials.
To honor this celebration, Nutrition Services has a variety of activities planned across all sites and is offering several ‘special’ breakfast items throughout the week. Additionally, throughout the week, parents with children attending schools that serve breakfast in the cafeteria can come to eat school breakfast with their children for $1!
These schools include:
- Chappelow K-8 School
- Fred Tjardes School of Innovation
- Frontier Elementary
- Greeley Central High School
- Heiman Elementary
- McAuliffe STEM Academy
- Monfort Elementary
- Northridge High School
- Union Colony Elementary
- University Middle School
- West Ridge Academy
- Winograd K-8 School
Also, for all K-12 teachers – to further promote this year’s National School Breakfast Week message, bring Nutrition Services in to teach your class about the benefits of breakfast Request a Chef in the Classroom breakfast lesson at: https://www.greeleyschools.org/chefintheclassroom.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
