"Morgan and his partner at #4 doubles qualified for state by winning the playbacks at regionals. At state, they won their first match! Although they lost their second match, they were able to come back in the playbacks and win another match. They played extremely well. What are some of your most memorable athletic accomplishments? 

"I was a middle school cross country league championship team member. As a sophomore, James Orin and I qualified for the state tennis tournament, and won a match vs Basalt on our way to a 5th place finish." 

 

What are your goals for this season? 

"I want to push to play at a higher level of doubles tennis and improve my serve." 

 

How do athletics make you a better student?

"Athletics help improve my time management skills. I am able to both participate in athletics and get good grades." 

 

What mental tool do you use when you're under pressure?

"I do my best to focus on the next point and not worry about the last point."

 

What is the best part about competing? 

"Taking trips to different places in Colorado."

 

What are your career or college plans after you graduate high school?

"I plan to go to college and study in the field of science."

 

What is on your Pre-Competition Music Playlist?

"I don't listen to music before competition. I typically hang out with my doubles partner, James Orin from Frontier Academy. He had a big part in our doubles success this year."

 

What is your go-to Pre-Competition food?

"I don't really have a go-to food. I just try to eat something healthy."
