Chappelow Sumdog-ers take second in state math competition

31 Chappelow students took place in the Colorado Statewide Sumdog Math Competition from May 4th through May 8th

Highlights of our performance include (along with prizes):

·        31 Chappelow participants (grades 1-7)

·        2nd place in the state contest

·        1st place in the "Perfectionist" category, which measures the amount of correct responses to incorrect responses. We had over 90% accuracy in the contest! Wow! PRIZE: Certificate; Sumdog full reports 12-month classroom subscription (worth $60)

·        Won 2 of the five Daily Winner awards--these go to the schools who get the most correct responses per student per day. PRIZE: Permanent site license for Yenka 3D shapes software (worth $330)

·        3 Chappelow students place in the overall Top 10! Dakota (#7), Indigo (#9), and Aspen (#10) combined to answer over 18,500 questions correctly between the three of them. PRIZE: Certificate

·        2nd place in the "Busy Bee" category-School with highest average questions answered correctly per student (counting top 15 students in school only). Our average was 2758 correct responses per top 15 students. PRIZE: Certificate; Sumdog full reports 12-month classroom subscription (worth $60)
