Centennial Principal Angie McDowell and Assistant Principal Kendra Mueller were invited to an event for Baessler Homes on Friday, Feb. 23. All they were told was that it was an event to celebrate employees, and they were going to highlight three non-profits. They asked the principals to present information about the school's Family Center, which offers wrap-around services for families including their food pantry, a washing and dryer, clothes donations, gently used books and toys and hygiene products.

During the event, Baessler Homes announced it was donating $20,000 to support the Centennial Family Center. Although the center is temporarily closed due to bond construction at the school, it will reopen in August. McDowell said the school will use the Baessler donation to purchase food, detergent and other supplies needed by families.

"We are incredibly grateful to Baessler Homes for this generous donation to our Family Center,” said Centennial Principal Angie McDowell. “Their support will help us better serve the needs of our families to help ensure student learning continues uninterrupted. We appreciate these community partners who understand and support our mission."

Previously, Baessler Homes has collected winter clothing for students and families that were given out during parent/teacher conferences this year. Thanks to Baessler Homes for being an amazing community partner!
