District Curriculum Council (DCC)

Mission:
The District Curriculum Council was created so that district teachers and principals could provide input and leadership in the areas of content standards, curriculum materials, and assessments. The council is a decision-making body that reviews and recommends curriculum changes, curriculum resources, instructional programs, and assessment practices. The council provides recommendations to the superintendent, and, ultimately, to the Board of Education.

Members: 
The council includes teachers who represent all levels and a variety of subject areas, instructional coaches from different levels, school administrators from different levels, central office coordinators from different subjects, and members from a higher learning institution.

Meeting Schedule:

Formal meetings are held once a month on Thursdays from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Small work group meetings as needed.
