District Curriculum Council (DCC)
The District Curriculum Council was created so that district teachers and principals could provide input and leadership in the areas of content standards, curriculum materials, and assessments. The council is a decision-making body that reviews and recommends curriculum changes, curriculum resources, instructional programs, and assessment practices. The council provides recommendations to the superintendent, and, ultimately, to the Board of Education.
The council includes teachers who represent all levels and a variety of subject areas, instructional coaches from different levels, school administrators from different levels, central office coordinators from different subjects, and members from a higher learning institution.
